Episode 73- Se7en (1995)
Wednesday Nov 18, 2020
Wednesday Nov 18, 2020
When retiring police Detective William Somerset (Morgan Freeman) tackles a final case with the aid of newly transferred David Mills (Brad Pitt), they discover a number of elaborate and grizzly murders. They soon realize they are dealing with a serial killer (Kevin Spacey) who is targeting people he thinks represent one of the seven deadly sins. Somerset also befriends Mills' wife, Tracy (Gwyneth Paltrow), who is pregnant and afraid to raise her child in the crime-riddled city.
What sin are you guilty of? The Reel Feels Detectives are cracking down on the case of the murderous serial killer John Doe today as they review 1995's "Se7en". This movie is... just amazing. That's unanimous all round the recording studio. The guys discuss the deaths, the fine planning, music and directorial career of Mr. Fincher, and even reveal a personal story about what would be in "their box" that would simply destroy them. But don't worry, there's still some laughs in his episode... so it's not all grim.

Wednesday Oct 21, 2020
Wednesday Oct 21, 2020
Private investigator Philip Marlowe (Humphrey Bogart) is hired by General Sternwood to help resolve the gambling debts of his wild young daughter, Carmen (Martha Vickers). Sternwood's older daughter, Vivian (Lauren Bacall), provides assistance when she implies that the situation is more complex, and also involves casino owner (John Ridgely) and a recently disappeared family friend. As people linked to the Sternwoods start being murdered, Marlowe finds himself getting ever deeper into the case.
Host Jack brings us a wonderful choice for our Femme Fatale genre with 1946's "The Big Sleep." The shadows, the atmosphere, the constant drinking and an abundance of smoking. The guys gush over the sexual tension throughout the movie and the classic writing to accompany all the witty banter. This fabulous film noir story of a hardboiled detective is just what the doctor ordered.

With the help of a mysterious reporter (Michelle Ferre), Whoami pieces together his past and tracks the turncoat agent and his criminal cohorts.
It's another Patreon special brought to us by our great friend Matthew! We're having a Reel Feels first here folks... a movie we've NEVER seen before. So, who has CIA training, knows how to make a coconut IV, mumbles while dressed up like an African native, and is tricked by two undercover agents all while dealing with his amnesia? Jackie Chan baby! It's 1998's "Who Am I?" This movie is complete bonkers, doesn't make sense at times and is even co-directed/written by Jackie Chan himself. However, there is one badass fight that redeems everything! Listen up and enjoy!

Episode 69-The Silence of the Lambs (1991)
Wednesday Sep 23, 2020
Wednesday Sep 23, 2020
Jodie Foster stars as Clarice Starling, a top student at the FBI's training academy. Jack Crawford (Scott Glenn) wants Clarice to interview Dr. Hannibal Lecter (Anthony Hopkins), a brilliant psychiatrist who is also a violent psychopath, serving life behind bars for various acts of murder and cannibalism. Crawford believes that Lecter may have insight into a case and that Starling, as an attractive young woman, may be just the bait to draw him out.
Lets give it up for the academy award winner of the BIG 5 for 1991! The boys have a good time discussing creep factor, improved lines, possible recasting and potential selections for roles, credit for depicting actual real world people, and a recurrence of quoting "Multiple Miggs"... maybe a bit too much. So let's open a battle of nice Chianti and sit down for a bite to eat... shall we? It's our Psychological Drama genre in Episode 69!

United! United! GSE! GSE! Oh boy, the blokes get down and really discuss the ins and outs of the firms and its members in this 2005 film. The jokes are abound, character development, the punches and bodily harm, all the songs and inevitable betrayal. Then, we even bring you our very OWN chants for our "gamer" firms! Stick around, grab a pint and lets watch some socc.... I mean, football!

Reilly as Dewey Cox is pretty great. In this episode the boys discuss not only the songs, the characters, the absurd comedy, and the touching journey that can only be "walked hard".
