For Episode 38, host Nathan has delighted us with one of the best #disaster genre films of the ages.  Throughout this episode we comment on the character development through the trials of the ship sinking around the passengers, thematic elements towards a deeper meaning in the film, close call stories and we even roll some dice.  So join us for a drink before we all start getting that sinking feeling.  En route from New York City to Greece on New Year's Eve, majestic passenger ship the S.S. Poseidon is overtaken by a tidal wave. With the captain (Leslie Nielsen) dead, surviving passengers, including the passionate Rev. Scott (Gene Hackman), band together in the ship's ballroom. Episode 37- Labyrinth (1986)

Young Sarah is left home alone by her parents and she has to babysit her little brother Toby. But the baby keeps crying and Sarah, while telling him a story from one of her books to make him sleep, inadvertently conjures from a fantasy world the Goblin King who steals the child and brings him to his castle in the middle of a labyrinth. Everyone loves a #TrueStory, so that's what we have for our genre this time!  Host Drew chooses a film he remembers liking from high school and lets face it... it has Tom Hanks.  Frank Abagnale, Jr. (Leonardo DiCaprio) worked as a doctor, a lawyer, and as a co-pilot for a major airline -- all before his 18th birthday. A master of deception, he was also a brilliant forger, whose skill gave him his first real claim to fame: At the age of 17, Frank Abagnale, Jr. became the mostsuccessful bank robber in the history of the U.S. FBI Agent Carl Hanratty (Tom Hanks) makes it his prime mission to capture Frank and bring him to justice, but Frank is always one step ahead of him

Nothing screams childhood like wanting to visit far off places, hang out with aliens, and soon realizing that family is very important.  In episode 36, host Nathan gives us our Sci-Fi Comedy genre with "Flight of the Navigator".A 12-year-old boy goes missing in 1978, only to reappear once more in 1986. In the eight years that have passed, he hasn't aged. It is no coincidence that at the time he "comes back", a flying saucer is found, entangled in power lines.

For our "Historical Biopic" genre, host Jack reaches deep into his ("historically accurate") kilt and pulls out 1995's "Braveheart" for episode 34!  William Wallace is the medieval Scottish patriot who is spurred into revolt against the English when the love of his life is slaughtered. Episode 33- Darkman (1990)

In this episode, host Drew brings us one of his favorite "Superhero" genre films from the 90's featuring a fabulous anti-hero.  When thugs employed by a crime boss lead a vicious assault on Dr. Peyton Wilder (Liam Neeson), leaving him literally and psychologically scarred, an emergency procedure allows him to survive. Upon his recovery, Wilder can find solace only by returning to his scientific work developing synthetic skin, and seeking revenge against the crime boss. He assumes a phantom avenger persona called Darkman, who, with malleable facial qualities, is able to infiltrate and sow terror in the criminal community.

Host Nathan has our first time with our "Dramedy" genre with this fantastic movie featuring some familiar faces.The life of train aficionado and downcast little person Finbar McBride (Peter Dinklage) takes an unexpected turn when his boss dies and wills him a railroad depot in New Jersey. He decides to relocate to the small town, where he befriends talkative food vendor Joe Oramas (Bobby Cannavale) and unhappy wife Olivia Harris (Patricia Clarkson). As the trio's interactions deepen, quirky conversations and outcomes ensue. McBride also gains insight from librarian Emily.
