Episode 107- Dogma (1999)

Two fallen angels who were ejected from paradise find themselves banned in Wisconsin. They are now headed for New Jersey where they find a loophole that can get them back into heaven. The only catch is that it will destroy humanity. A group bands together to stop them.
 
The Last Scion, the Apostle, two prophets, the Voice of God and two rogue angels... this is 1999's Dogma.  Nathan brings us this Kevin Smith favorite with his #Angel genre for Episode 107.  The boys sit down and discuss the movie, go on random tangents and discuss the views and impact of religion in the here and now.  Join us, light up, spit out your tequila and show some love to Buddy Christ!

Episode 106- The Thing (1982)

In remote Antarctica, a group of American research scientists are disturbed at their base camp by a helicopter shooting at a sled dog. When they take in the dog, it brutally attacks both human beings and canines in the camp and they discover that the beast can assume the shape of its victims. A resourceful helicopter pilot (Kurt Russell) and the camp doctor (Richard Dysart) lead the camp crew in a desperate, gory battle against the vicious creature before it picks them all off, one by one.
 
Host Jack hits a homerun with this childhood favorite and it still holds up to today!  1982's "The Thing" by John Carpenter is an amazing piece of storytelling, atmosphere creating and downright impressive compilation of puppet work / special fx.  Who cares what critics said in 1982 when it came out! This movie is amazing!  Listen to the boys discuss film history, trivia, and just reminisce over how much love they have for this film.  So grab your cold weather gear, a bottle of J&B and let the paranoia set in!

Episode 104 & 105 Double Feature- The Frighteners (1996) and Tremors 5: Bloodlines (2015)

Ep. 104: The Frightenters-   Once an architect, Frank Bannister (Michael J. Fox) now passes himself off as an exorcist of evil spirits. To bolster his facade, he claims his "special" gift is the result of a car accident that killed his wife. But what he does not count on is more people dying in the small town where he lives. As he tries to piece together the supernatural mystery of these killings, he falls in love with the wife (Trini Alvarado) of one of the victims and deals with a crazy FBI agent (Jeffrey Combs).
 
 
Ep. 105: Tremors 5: Bloodlines- Survivalist Burt Gummer (Michael Gross) and his new sidekick Travis (Jamie Kennedy) are hired to track down an ass-blaster terrorizing South Africa. As they engage in battles with the aggressive creatures, they discover an even more lethal creature.

Episode 103- The Hateful Eight (2015)

While racing toward the town of Red Rock in post-Civil War Wyoming, bounty hunter John "The Hangman" Ruth (Kurt Russell) and his fugitive prisoner (Jennifer Jason Leigh) encounter another bounty hunter (Samuel L. Jackson) and a man who claims to be a sheriff. Hoping to find shelter from a blizzard, the group travels to a stagecoach stopover located on a mountain pass. Greeted there by four strangers, the eight travelers soon learn that they may not make it to their destination after all.
It's time to delve into the Quentin Tarantino Universe!  We're here with our Civil War pick with Nathan choosing "The Hateful Eight" (2015).  From the costuming, the characters, camera work and beautiful music... it's all only matched by the outrageous violence!  This movie has it all!  So grab your six-shooter, Lincoln Letter, a bowl of stew and well... you might wanna be careful of the coffee.

Episode 102- Big Trouble in Little China (1986)

Kurt Russell plays hard-boiled truck driver Jack Burton, who gets caught in a bizarre conflict within, and underneath, San Francisco's Chinatown. An ancient Chinese prince and Chinatown crime lord has kidnapped a beautiful green-eyed woman, who is the fiancee to Jack's best friend. Jack must help his friend rescue the girl before the evil Lo Pan uses her to break the ancient curse that keeps him a fleshless and immortal spirit.
 
It's the 80's.  It's John Carpenter.  It's Kurt Russel.  It's none other than "Big Trouble in Little China"!  Host Jack brings us his ultimate choice for our Cult Classic genre and we couldn't be happier!  Jack and Drew are excited.... but Nathan is questioning the choice.  SPOILER ALERT:  It's his FIRST time watching it!  From a bonkers plot, martial arts left and right and Chinese sorcery.... there's nothing we don't cover!  So join us for some great fun and enjoy this cult classic of ours!
